As a fan of “Lost,” I was intrigued when I heard that some of the same people were involved in the new EPIX series “From.” Unfortunately, the show doesn’t live up to the expectations set by “Lost.” While it starts off incredibly promising and has a unique feel, the lazy writing and subpar acting hold it back as the season progresses. The unforgiving gore and genuine horror element that the show first offers are among its most distinctive features, but even these begin to wear thin as the season progresses. By the time I finished the first season, I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed. Although a second season is in the works, “From” barely does enough to keep me returning for more. I would probably tell my past self not to watch it if I could go back in time. Even though I’m drawn in by the mystery, I’m worried about the show’s future. The writing is reminiscent of J.J. Abrams; the writers are adding mysteries at whim with no idea how to resolve them. Intriguing at first, but the poor writing soon began to sour the experience. If you enjoy mysteries, you might want to give “From” a shot, but be aware that it features subpar acting and a superfluous plot that will make you lament the wasted opportunities. Loved the series!

Great TV series

A solid 10/10 series from a storytelling perspective. Honestly, the trailer didn't attract me that much, but I decided to give it a chance, and after the first 3 episodes, I couldn't stay away from this show. What fascinated me the most was the people behind this series because the story is exceptional; I found myself deeply engaged with the characters, trying to find an escape route along with them. I quickly finished the first two seasons, and now I have to wait for season 3, but I can't wait for it to come out. I have an idea of how the next season could be based on the ending of season 2, but my mind is not as brilliant as the minds of the people who created this show. If you enjoy series that make you think and deliver a guaranteed outcome for you, only to completely change the situation and leave you in suspense and mystery, then this is a great show to watch.

**_No Spoilers_** Knowing some of the same people involved with LOST were working on this is what got me to watch it. First season there were definitely more questions than answers but that's not a bad thing. It keeps you wondering what's going to happen next and how the heck at they going to get out. I think the current 3rd seasons has really upped the game with a story line on the 'outside' and inside which gets you thinking how it's all connected. Season 3 also seems to take some pretty big steps in answering some questions we've had in the back of our minds for the first 2 seasons. I hope they learned their lesson from LOST and don't let it drag on like that and wrap up the story in 5 seasons, 6 max. **I highly recommend** it for anyone who enjoys a good mystery/drama but the horror aspects might be a little much for some. Even though it does add to the suspense and terror knowing you might lose a character at any moment who you've been rooting for or just enjoying their storyline so far.

What makes From stand out is its ability to build a constant sense of dread without relying too heavily on jump scares. Instead, it focuses on atmosphere, character development, and the slow unraveling of the town’s secrets. The performances are solid, especially from the lead characters who portray fear, confusion, and desperation in a believable way. The pacing can feel slow at times, but it helps deepen the mystery and keeps viewers engaged with unanswered questions. Overall, From is an intriguing watch for fans of suspenseful horror with layered storytelling and an eerie, unsettling tone.

Literally one of the dumbest shows I've ever had to see. Completely aimed at stupid gullible people. If you're continuing to watch this slop you're either unemployed or a complete moron. Actually I'd bet my next mortgage payment you're both.

I hate Tabitha's character. I find her doing and saying stupid things. I also have a problem with the bottle tree. I remember Victor saying this tree is special because it leads you to the lighthouse, but when Dale entered the tree, he ended up stuck on a wall and died. That didn't make sense. Anyone who enters that tree should've gone to the tower, not somewhere different. Even if they are able to get to the tower, they wouldn't know what to do next so they won't get away anyway, unless they jumped from the tower, or maybe they need to be pushed by the boy in white for them to go home. Who knows what are the requirements! But they shouldn't have changed that fact just so no one can go home and continue the story.

This nonsense is dragging on too long and becoming overly convoluted. It has just enough to keep me coming back (because I have nothing else to watch right now), but it is full of nonsensical bullshit. From the very beginning of Season 1 Episode 1, they start piling on the nonsensical bullshit, and they do not stop, and we, the audience, are just meant to ignore it. I'm currently on Season 3 Episode 9. I've already spoiled the show for myself by reading through the awfully written Wiki, and I'm on the verge of clocking out. **\[SPOILERS AHEAD\]** Here's something from this episode that makes no !@#$in' sense: Victor's mom had visions about the town and all the !@#$ happening in the town, including the children, long before the town grabbed her and her children, yet in this episode, we learn that the Child in White never told her about the lighthouse. Instead, he told Christopher, who gave zero !@#$s, and Victor's mom only found out because Victor was eavesdropping. And for the last couple episodes, they've been pushing the narrative that Tabitha has been chosen to save the kids because she was having dreams about the town when she was just a kid. We're led to believe that Victor's mom was also chosen, so why did the Child in White not tell Victor's mom? Here's another one: Fatima has been acting like a lunatic for the past few episodes, and instead of someone keeping an eye on her 24/7, they leave her alone, and she ends up in the greenhouse, stabbing poor old Tillie to death, who knew Fatima was !@#$ed up, but refused to keep her distance. I mean...
