***Kevin James is left at the altar in Italy*** Whether or not you'll like this will depend on if you appreciate Kevin James and his unprofane brand of humor, as depicted in The King of Queens and subsequent flicks. The appeal here is the Italian locations and the camaraderie of the cast members, which also includes Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Alyson Hannigan and Julee Cerda. Yet it’s James’ chemistry with Nicole Grimaudo (Gia) that works best. Fans of Ed Sheeran will be interested to know that he shows up in the last act uncredited. There’s a warmth to the proceedings despite some questionable-but-amusing revelries, and the movie leaves you with a good feeling. While not quite as good as “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” IMHO, or great like "Zookeeper," I prefer it to the decent-but-throwaway "True Memoirs of an International Assassin.” Released in Feb 2026, it runs 1h 36m and was shot in Rome and the Siena region of Tuscany, which is a 3-hour journey north-northwest of the capital city.
