Clearly decent, does not reinvent the shark-filled wheel This is a decent movie. It has a plot that works, characters you can identify and place value in, and thus a tension that works. The direction is great, which you could expect from Renny, and the cast is solid. The effects are far more than merely servicable, and the movie does not invent personalities for the scary things in the water - they are merely animals doing what they are supposed to be doing. Overall this is nothing new, but this is a good take on the formula, and I think it is a good time.
